ITS-Arab had a successful participation at the EasyWay 2009 Forum held in Vienna on the 17-19 November.

ITS-Arab participation included a speech during the opening ceremony from His Excellency Eng. Abdullah Al-Mogbel, President of ITS-Arab and Deputy Minister of Transport, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The speech was delivered under the programme title ‘Looking to EasyWay to help accelerate ITS Deployments in the Arab region’. Full speech is available to download below.

The success of the event includes a detailed understanding of the current status of the European ITS harmonisation that helps inform ITS project developments in the Arab region. The event also helped to form a number of strategic collaboration to accelerate the works of the ITS-Arab Architecture Working Group and the ITS Standards Committee.
