The whole trip would usually take an hour, including a 10- minute walk from the bus stop to my office. Now, with the newMetro service here in Al Jaddaf, I can take the train straight to work cutting my travel time to half an hour,” May Lutuaco, a receptionist, told Anthony Varghese, who lives in Sharjah with his family, said the new service was a “very good move” for him and his wife.
“Mywifeworks in Al Jaddaf. So we can now park at the RashidiyaMetro station and she can then take the train there, making the trip more convenient. Overall, the Metro service here is very useful,” he said.
‘ Good and economical’ Storekeeper Ebrahim Qader said commuting on his days off has become easier. “I live in a labour accommodation next to the Creek station. Taking the train from here is good and economical.” Bus Route C04 from the Gold Souq bus station will service both Al Jaddaf and Creek stations to link commuters with nearby communities in Al Jaddaf.
